The first version of 'You're My Best Friend Forever' was consisted of vocal and acoustic guitar sounds with different lyrics. However, when Yanagi sent the original version to 'someone', the person told him she wants much brighter one. Therefore, Yanagi decided to rearrange the sound, and the rearranged version is the album version. Also, Yanagi rewrote the lyrics with the dedication to her.
Yanagi was inspired by Beach House's 'Myth', Yanagi adopted the space like sounds and the vocal style. The melody was inspired by Pet Shop Boys, Scissor Sisters and other artists. 'You're My Best Friend Forever' is the only one pop style music in this album.
最初、「You're My Best Friend Forever」は、今とは全く違う歌詞で、ボーカルとアコースティックギターのみの楽曲でした。しかし、柳がオリジナルバージョンををとある人に聞かせてみた時、その人から「もっと明るい曲が欲しい」と言われました。そのことをきっかけに、「You're My Best Friend Forever」は現在のサウンドとなりました。そして、後からその人への言葉に変えたのが現在の歌詞となります。
サウンドとボーカルはBeach Houseの「Myth」から影響されました。特に、サウンドは宇宙にいるような雰囲気を表現しました。曲調はPet Shop BoysやScissor Sistersからの影響を受け、オルタナティブ・ダンスのような性格も加えています。そのため、「You're My Best Friend Forever」は今回のアルバムで最もポップな楽曲となっています。
