3. The Wind is Blowing

'The Wind is Blowing' was composed when he had mental illness. Before his depression getting worse, Yanagi left his place and went to Osaka. He confined himself from the society he was belong. He wrote the lyrics at Osaka castle park. Yanagi closed his eyes and concentrated on the wind to catch some feelings from the air flow. The lyrics have two languages, Japanese and Korean. The one phrase of Korean lyrics in 'The Wind is Blowing' is '바람이 부는데'. It means 'Wind is blowing, but'. Therefore, the first title of this song was 'The Wind is Blowing but...'.
Yanagi used falsetto voice to express fade by wind blowing and sadness. To express the ephemeral atmosphere, high tone bell and airy sounds with scratch noises were used. Also, percussion sounds control the mood of this song.
The music video was filmed at Moere Numa park in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
「The Wind is Blowing」は、柳のうつ病が悪化する直前、周りとの連絡を切って約1ヶ月間、大阪で彼自信を孤立していた時に書いた曲の中の1曲です。柳は大阪城公園で風に当たりながら作詞したものに、後からメロディーを加えました。歌詞は日本語と韓国語が使用され、韓国語は「바람이 부는데」という歌詞となっています。「바람이 부는데」は、「風が吹いているが」という意味です。そのことから、元のタイトルは「The Wind is Blowing, but...」でした。
柳は風に吹かれて消え去る儚い瞬間を表現するため、主にファルセットを使って歌いました。サウンドは高いベルのような音とエアリーな音にノイズを合わせ、風が吹いているような空間を表現し、打楽器サウンドで風の強さを調節しています。
現在公開中のMVは札幌市にあるモエレ沼公園で撮影したものとなります。
