'The Winter is Coming' inspired by a photo. The photo depicts a woman looks up a winter sky. The image of this track is a foreground before winter has come. 'The Winter is Coming' is the most meaningful song for Yanagi. Also, Yanagi cried when he recorded this song. The lyrics are about missing someone who he loved and still loves. This track is the purest song in this album.
Piano sounds and airy sounds those express sadness and winter like atmosphere were used for this track. Yanagi tried to express the purity with classical techniques for the vocals.
English and Korean were used for the lyrics. '겨울이야' in the lyrics means 'It's winter'. Also, the melody of Korean part is the first part that Yanagi composed for this song.
ある1枚の写真からの影響で制作した楽曲。その写真は1人の女性が冬の空を見上げている写真である。雪が降る冬が来る直前の景色をテーマとしている。柳にとって最も思い入れのある曲でもあり、途中で何度も泣きながら制作した曲でもある。実際に、泣きながらレコーディングしたテイクが使用されている。歌詞は空を見上げながら、昔のある人との冬の記憶を思い出し、その人のことを想う内容となっている。本アルバムに於いて最も純粋な曲となっている。
楽器は主にピアノサウンドと悲しさと冬が来ていることを感じられる空気のような雰囲気を表しているサウンドを使用し、ブリッジでは女性の声のように聞こえる楽器を加えている。ボーカルは純粋さを表現するため、少しクラシカルな感じとなっている。
歌詞には英語と韓国語が使われている。韓国語は「겨울이야」で、「冬だよ」という意味である。この韓国語の部分が、柳が作曲した時、最初に作った部分である。
